Bungoma High Court Revision Case No. E003 of 2026 (Jackberret Zerahi & Others Vs Cabinet Secretary Interior & Others)

This is a case where over 45 were arrested at Bungoma and charged with various offences among them being in the country illegally. Whereas the Refugee Act 2021 expressly provides for separation of illegal immigrants and genuine asylum seekers the court went ahead and condemned them adverse orders issued against them. We managed to file a revision application at the Bungoma High Court where conservatory orders were issued the matter is still on going. Among the victims are minors who are currently held in different police cells for over eight (8) months under deplorable conditions. We require funding to enable us settle the legal costs that follow this cause.
