10Oct By adminNOctober 29, 20240Advocacy and Capacity Development, Legal Aid Refugee Legal Networks Gets Orders from The High Court of Kenya in Favor of Refugees and Asylum Seekers Click to Download the Orders Given by The High Court of Kenya Refugee Legal Networks (RLN) through its Advocates filed a petition in the High Court of Kenya under a Certificate of Urgency against the directive given by Department of Refugees Services on 30-09-2024 giving orders to all refugees to surrender all their Original passports from their countries of origin to the Department. The High Court of Kenya has eventually issued orders stopping the Department of Refugee Services (DRS) from Implementing this alleged Unlawful directive of confiscating all passports of refugees and all asylum seekers. Further hearing of the case is slated on the 19th of November 2024.
