What We Do
Through our various programs which include but not limited to Legal Aid, Advocacy, Research & Learning and Refugee Empowerment/Capacity Building, we liaise with various refugee organizations, refugee led organizations and government (both local and national) to assist with the plight of refugees.
We also offer legal representations to any refugee, either criminal or civil proceedings. The services are purely on pro-bono basis.
Legal Aid
Programmes
This includes legal advise to refugees, court representation in both criminal and civil proceedings, public interest litigation, petitions and so on. We also participate and organize workshops or colloquia with a view to enhance policy change for the benefit of refugees and asylum seekers.
Advocacy and
Capacity Building
We conduct trainings to refugees on various benefits that the law provides for with a view to empowering them with knowledge to improve themselves. Some of the trainings are IT related and various business processes available online. Under this program, We also collaborate with government at both local and national level in knowledge dissemination.
Research
and Learning
Through our team of researchers, we are constantly on the lookout for any policy or law that may be repugnant to the constitution of Kenya and all other laws on matters refugees. We endeavor to equip interns with technology to help them improve their research skills. We also work with refugee led organizations on matters research.
